1. Uploading a photo
1.1. We only accept JPEG photos up to 2500 pixels total on two sides, up to 700 KB. Usually 1500x1000, 1428x1071 or 1600x900 depending on the aspect ratio. For best quality, we recommend compressing photos before uploading to the site. 1.2. Maps can be up to 5000 pixels on two sides in GIF or PNG format, up to 10 MB. 1.3. Date is usually entered automatically, but you should check that it's correct. If the field is left empty, you must enter the date yourself. 1.4. For maps, you need to specify the date on which it was actual. 2. Links 2.1. If you can identify the internal or license plate number, you need to select the region, enter the number in the appropriate field and select the right one from the options that appear. 2.2. If the bus you need is not on the list, you need to create it by clicking on the «create and link new vehicle». It will automatically link to the photo. 2.3. In the «Region where the photo was taken» field, enter the correct region, regardless of the region where the bus is from. For example, for a photo of a bus from Bavaria taken in Berlin, the region "Berlin" should be entered in the "Region where the photo was taken" field. If the region is unknown, the more probable one must be entered. 2.4. All identifiable buses should be linked to the photo from left to right. 2.5. Next, you need to select angle and the type of binding:
2.7. If the bus is en route, you must enter it in the proper field. Start typing the route number or name, and select the right option from the list. 2.8. If you can't find the route you want, you need to enter it as in official documents (like a timetable). If you can't check, there are basic rules to follow: If the route is in the city limits, this field contains only its number. If the route goes outside the city, you must specify both the number, if available, and the name, if known. The name is usually the names of the starting and ending locations. The route name should be written using an em dash (—) , not a hyphen (-). The larger population area should go first. For example, urban routes should be in the format «15», «26», and suburban, intercity and international routes - «640 Schleswig — Flensburg», «Frankfurt am Main — Belgrad» 2.9. Route must be entered in the language of the bus region. Route names can be changed later by the editor. 2.10. Not on route box is checked only when a route is specified but the bus is at a terminus or on a break between trips. 2.11. If the bus runs without passengers, it should be written in the remark field. For example: – to depot – testdrive – off-route 2.12. A remark must be written with a small letter and without a period. 2.13. Route and remark fields should remain empty for photos of interiors or elements. 3. Photo caption 3.1. For outside photos, this is where the bus was when the photo was taken. This can be one of the options:
3.3. Not relevant 3.4. City is not specified only for state subjects (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Berlin, Hamburg, Minsk, Kiev, Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent). 3.5. For highways, the place of shooting should be specified in the following order: name of the highway, village (if shot near or within it). For example: – Highway M1, Shepshed If a road passes through a village and has its own name (street, avenue, etc.), the name of the road in the village shall be written instead of the name of the highway. For European countries you must specify the local name of the route, not the European (E**). 3.6. For photos of individual elements of the vehicle, the field "region in which the photo was taken" must specify the subject of the photo, for example: – Sleeping area – Stairs 3.7. Photo captions must begin with a capital letter and no period at the end. Abbreviations of words are not allowed. 3.8. Description is filled in if needed. It may contain additional information about the image, objects in the photo or other explanations, for example, the author's name if you are not the author. The field should be filled in with a capital letter, no period at the end. 3.9. All fields should be filled in the language of the region in compliance with the rules of the language used (except in certain cases specified in the rules). |
