On May 15, 2025, a tourist boat collided with one of the arches of the L’Île-Saint-Denis bridge, which connects the same name island with the commune of Saint-Denis and serves as a key link to the western part of Greater Paris.
Due to severe damage, the bridge was closed to both road traffic and Tram Line T1, which runs across the island, completely cutting off a 5-kilometer section of track from the rest of the network.

Until the bridge is expected to reopen in summer 2026, replacement bus services have been introduced, operated by RATP using articulated IVECO Urbanway buses (https://fotobus.me/photo/3804748).
Because of the island’s narrow and constrained streets, the temporary route doesn’t go onto the island at all. Instead, it terminates on the left bank of the Seine, leaving passengers to walk the remaining 700 meters across two bridges.

Since there isn’t even a single grocery store on the island, it’s has not gone down well with local residents, and they pushed for a dedicated service for passengers with reduced mobility. The T1 Shuttle route is operated by two midi buses (a MAN A66 pictured, and a Citaro K FD-822-JS).

I wasn’t able to find any information about its route or timetable, either online or at the stops. According to a paper behind the windshield, only elderly passengers, people with disabilities, and pregnant women are allowed to use it — everyone else still has to make the journey on foot.
