Carris has introduced 29 new Yutong U12 fully electric buses, strengthening Lisbon’s zero‑emission fleet and improving comfort, safety, and service quality for passengers.

Barreiro launched its first battery‑electric buses into regular service, operated by the municipality‑owned Transportes Colectivos do Barreiro (TCB). The initial electric fleet consists of Yutong U10, U12, U18 and E7S models, introduced across several routes as part of Barreiro’s transition toward modern, low‑emission public transport.

Alsa Todi has unveiled 60 new electric buses — a mix of Yutong U12 and Yutong ICe12 models — at its Moita depot. These vehicles will strengthen Carris Metropolitana’s Area 4 network, serving Moita, Barreiro, Seixal, Montijo and Alcochete, with extended links to Setúbal in the south.

The municipally owned bus operator, Transportes Colectivos do Barreiro (TCB), has announced plans to expand its fleet with the acquisition of 40 new all-electric buses. These will complement the 60 natural gas-powered buses currently in operation.
Details regarding the specific model, delivery timeline, and the date the new vehicles will enter service have not yet been disclosed.
